While on a shopping trip over the weekend, he was involved in an auto accident. He was stopped at a stop sign near downtown on Maple Street, and had as a passenger beside him, his wife. It was sunny out, but not to bright to make driving conditions difficult.
At the T intersection, he looked to his right to check traffic. Suddenly, his wife screamed, a loud bang occurred and they both were jolted forward. Looking forward, the driver could readily see that they had just been hit head on, by an elderly looking man driver while he was still at the stop sign.
After making sure his wife was okay, he got out of the car to check on the other driver and survey the damage. A police officer was on the scene without being called and was able to see where the cars were positioned when the collision occurred. The policeman's report showed how the accident happened, however he recorded in his statement that the other driver told him it was not his fault.
