Three Levels Of Accidents
When Phoenix personal injury occurs, there are three levels of accidents.
If a person is involved in a fender bender type accident, the insurance injury will usually categorize such a collision or vehicle accident as minor in nature. Minor accidents may involve extremely low speed collisions with other vehicles or the hitting of stationary objects such as lamp posts, street signs, road barriers or the like.
In a minor accident, there may or may not be injuries involved to passengers or drivers of a vehicle or vehicles. When a collision occurs in a minor accident, often times there may not be a need to file a Phoenix personal injury claim.
A major accident is the other side of the accident spectrum. These accidents have a degree of severity in both vehicle damage as well as injuries to both the drivers and passengers. It is generally understood that when a severe accident occurs, a police report may be a good idea to obtain. Any issues of liability that exist may or may not be sorted out by a police report. If a citation is issued, there may be a means to assert a Phoenix personal injury claim.
Whether or not an attorney should be called in a major accident is up to the person or persons involved.
